Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers replace volume and structure lost in the face through the aging process. They are generally used to diminish the appearance of folds, creases, and deeper lines. They can be used to improve facial proportions, add lost volume, enhance lip volume, contour the jaw line, and even enhance the natural look of the nose without surgery.

The most commonly used products are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the body. Hyaluronic acid has an amazing ability to absorb and retain water, which is one of the reasons it is a great choice of material.

Details

Dermal filler treatment usually takes between fifteen to thirty minutes.  The treatment can involve some minor discomfort which is alleviated with ice and topical numbing medications. Some patients experience temporary soreness or swelling after the treatment. The esthetic results generally last around one year.
