Dr. Alex Viezel-Mathieu
Dr. Alex Viezel-Mathieu is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. His attention to detail, technical precision and deep care for his patients sets him apart.
He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Anatomy with great distinction, from McGill University. Dr. Viezel-Mathieu went on to complete medical school at McGill, the top ranked medical school in the country. It was there that he developed a passion for plastic surgery and was accepted among the country’s top applicants into McGill's residency program.

Research from clinical studies
Dr. Viezel-Mathieu is the author of over 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has presented and lectured at several national and international specialty meetings.
He currently holds an academic appointment at McGill University, where he is actively involved in teaching surgical residents and medical students. At his hospital practice based at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Dr. Viezel-Mathieu specializes in breast reconstruction surgery, helping women affected by cancer restore their sense of wholeness and self-confidence.
